Trevenna Wedding Photographer

Jimmy & Natalie
Jimmy and Natalie’s wedding at Trevenna was such a brilliant day, just one of those days thats just a real pleasure to be apart of! Getting into bed at the end of the day, I knew it had been an absolute belter and one to really remember! The day was so relaxed but still so full of energy and packed with lovely people all there to enjoy every single second of Jimmy and Natalie’s big day!! Trevenna really came into its own for this one, showing exactly why it’s such a popular wedding venue in Cornwall and one of my favs! It’s always gorgeous come rain or shine and to be honest, this day was the best of both!
The morning started at Trevenna with Natalie getting ready in the Farmhouse. There were a lot of people in and out from early on, I love this part of the morning at every wedding, all the buzz and excitement of whats to come. Hair and makeup started early, breakfast was happening, and there was a really good atmosphere building as the morning went on. There were so many really nice moments happening as everything came together. One of those times were I could have pointed my camera anywhere and managed to cpature some gold! Natalie looked incredible when she got into her dress and ready to head over to get married (it had just started raining aswell!!!) but we got the most amazing walk over to tge ceremony photos with Natalie and her bridesmaids all holding her dress. Actually some of my favourite photos from the day – they are so real!
Jimmy was getting ready over in The Threshing with his best men. Suits, ties, a bit of whisky, and a lot of laughter. Exactly what guys want to do on the morning of!! I shot a few relaxed photos and then just let the morning unfold naturally, with the focus very much on Natalie and the ceremony ahead.
The ceremony took place in Trevenna’s new barn the Mowhay, which is such a great spot for an indoor wedding, that feels nice and spacioUs and light! It feels private, green, and tucked away, while still being right in the heart of the venue. Guests arrived, found their seats, and by 1pm everything was ready. The harpist added a really nice touch as Natalie walked in, and Jimmy’s reaction said everything. Such a really beautiful ceremony and so emotional! Was honestly so lovely to witness.
After the ceremony, everyone moved straight into cocktail hour. This is one of the things Trevenna gets spot on., cocktails right outside the ceremony location! Everything flowed nicely without needing to rush anywhere. Natalie and Jimmy were really keen to be part of this, so we kept things natural and informal, capturing them chatting, laughing, and enjoying time with their guests rather than disappearing for long photo sessions.
Later on, once the pace of the day slowed a little and the sun made an appearance (It was honestly like it never rained – just the most gorgeous summer day!) we hit some outdoor confetti shots and then I took Natalie and Jimmy for some photos around the grounds. Trevenna has loads of great spots for this, all right on the doorstep – all you need to do is take alittle stroll around and i’ve got some amazing secret spots from all the weddings I’ve shot there over the years!
There was lots of speeching and they were warm, funny, and full of such good and funny stories, exactly what you want at this point in the day!! The best man speech in articular was chaos – lots of cardboard cut outs!!
Natalie and Jimmy did some cool different things in the eve. They welcomed their evening guests with a prosecco tower, which was such a fun way to kick things up a gear. Shortly after came their first dance, followed by the band and a packed dance floor. From live music and an epic full playlist to finish, it felt like Trevenna was buzzing right through to the end of the night.
We managed to head out for some epic sunset shots – i’d been watching all day for it and considering the rain in the morning you wouldn’t believe it was actually gonna come off! But seriously one of the most epic sunsets of the year!
What I really loved about Jimmy and Natalie’s day was how much they wanted it to feel natural, no stiff moments, just lots of relaxed candid photos with friends and family. That’s exactly what we got!!
Jimmy and Natalie, thank you so much for having me along. Your epic Trevenna wedding was an absolute joy to photograph!!!
Carmen and Matt – Trevenna Barns
Hey Dan!
Thank you for sending through the wedding photos! I’ve just had a glance through on the train home and I already love all of them. I feel like every aspect of the day was captured beautifully (tears, laughter, ridiculous dancing!!!).

“Thank you so much for being the best wedding photographer! Our photos are everything we wanted and more.
Wishing you all the best for the future!”
I’m not gonna say too much about this gorgeous wedding at Trevenna. I’m going to let the photos do the talking as much as possible. Carmen and Matt had one hell of a day. So much emotion, love, crying and outrageous dancing went down – AND IT WAS AWESOME!
