POPPY & STEWARTS SEASIDE SUMMER WEDDING
Sandy Cove Hotel Wedding Photographer

Poppy and Stewart’s wedding at Sandy Cove was such a lovely family day.
Everything happened in one place, which always helps the day flow nicely. Poppy got ready at the hotel with her bridesmaids and flower girls, and there was a real buzz from early on. People coming and going, hair and makeup finishing up, dresses hanging ready. It felt relaxed but full of anticipation, which shows clearly in the photos.
Stewart was getting ready at the hotel too, which meant I could move between the two rooms without missing anything. It kept things easy and meant there was time to capture those quieter moments before the ceremony without anyone feeling rushed.
The ceremony took place at Sandy Cove outside overlooking the coast with family and friends piling in around them. Around eighty guests, including children, which gave it a really warm and inclusive feel. As Poppy walked in, Stewart’s reaction said it all. Big smile, no distractions, completely focused on her. It was a genuinely lovely moment and one of my favourites from the ceremony.
Afterwards, everyone spilled outside for drinks and congratulations while we headed down to the cove underneath the hotel for photos. It is only a short drive but it feels completely different down there. Quiet, coastal, and a perfect spot for portraits without needing to go far. Such a dream spot to have on your doorstep!
Poppy and Stewart were a dream to photograph hoenstly. They were happy to just walk together, talk, and enjoy a bit of time away from everyone else. Nothing felt forced and they were very comfortable with each other, which always makes for natural photos. There is a really nice balance in the images between laughter and quieter moments, which suited them well.
Back at the hotel, guests enjoyed canapés and drinks before heading in for the wedding breakfast. The speeches later on were full of warmth and humour, very much focused on family and the people closest to them. You could see how much love there is around the two of them. Just look at how everyone is smiling!!
As the evening rolled in, Sandy Cove looked beautiful. The light dropped, people relaxed even more, and the atmosphere stayed easy and friendly. Poppy and Stewart headed out for a few evening photos around the grounds in some gorgeous golden hour sunlight!! Before rejoining everyone for their first dance and lots of dancing for the rest of the night.
It was a wedding that felt genuinely personal from start to finish. Full of family, full of smiles, and a real pleasure to photograph.
Thank you both so much for having me there, from the bottom of my heart!! It was just so lovely to be part of your day.
