We just want to say thank you so much for our photographs. We received them at the end of last week and can’t stop looking at them! You’ve captured our day so well and there are so many lovely pictures it’s going to be really hard to pick out ones for an album, let alone which to choose to have framed.
Rachel and Matthew
This wedding took the longest amount of time to select images to put up on the website. It’s just one of those fabulous weddings where there are just too many wedding photos that you could choose to put up making it extremely difficult to choose. I’ve settled on so many photos, each and every one from the day I just love.
This stunning wedding was shot at a little favourite of my wedding venues – Polpier and Penpol in Mevagissey, Cornwall. Its a fab house set in some absolutely stunning grounds (as you will see in the photos) completely isolated. It has some beautiful views of Mevagissy harbour as well.
You would absolutely never know this wedding was in October. It was over 20 degress and sunny all day, better than most days of summer we have had in Cornwall this year. The ceremony was hosted completely outside under the arbour they have in their grounds at Polpier. Serenaded by the most gorgeous string four piece the ceremony was completely beautiful – lots of tears of emotion from all involved. Rachel walking down the aisle with a tear in her eye is one of my favourite wedding photography images of this year.
We took a walk around the grounds at Polpier and Penpol, they have a very cute little greenhouse and a beautiful orchard. Perfect for a moment alone and for me to grab some images unawares. We did take a little trip down to Hemmick Beach later on in the day as sunset hit. It’s sometimes a struggle to get out in ‘golden hour’ but having a wedding photography in Cornwall, it is something you MUST do. It’s the best experience and the perfect wind down to any day. We managed to find an unlocked field (thanks Mr Farmer!) bathed in sunset light above Hemmick Beach before heading down to the beach itself. Some of my favourite images were taken on the beach, the light was so good, I am not even kidding. It could not have been more perfect. We grabbed these frames and headed back up for the first dance and some crazy fun dancing.
These are the resultant photos of an absolutely amazing day. It’s one of my favourites, and I hope you like them all too.
