Italy Wedding Photographer

I’m so glad I’ve finally got the time to start updating my website and include the gorgeous wedding of Jay and Elise from my time in Italy as their Italy Wedding Photographer. I’ve been sitting on this wedding for a while and I’ve actually not shared anything from it. Not even on social media, just down to not having any time at all! But that’s all about to change now, I hope you like them as you are all about to get spammed with them!! Ha!

Jay and Elise got married in fabulous Malcesine in Lake Garda. So excited to be photographing again as a Lake Garda Wedding Photographer it’s one of mine (and Nicole’s!) favourite places. We’ve been here several times now, and lucky enough to photograph here and it’s just magical. If you’ve never been, you need to make some travel arrangements to go. We just love it and the whole place is so magical. One of our favourite places in Italy!

Jay and Elise had their ceremony at Malcesine’s Scaliger Castle. It’s the obvious choice, a super imposing castle slap bang in the middle of Malcesine, you really can’t miss it. It’s iconic and amazing when seen from the water! Jay and Elise had their ceremony on top of one of the towers, which has incredible panoramic views overlooking the town and water. The weather was so beautiful and hot that they had to have a little tent canopy over the couple to stop the heat getting to them! What a dream!

After the ceremony, and some drinks, much hugging and laughter, and some photos on the steps of the castle. We took a walk down through the streets of Malcesine into the square in the center of town to catch our boat ride over to the evening’s venue, the very beautiful La Voglia. The restaurant is set a little bit out of town, but it’s an amazing spot just a short boat ride down the lake, which allowed us all to see so much more of Lake Garda.

There were some incredibly moving speeches, so much tears and laughter which made some awesome photos. After that, we managed to get down onto the little ‘beach’ area outside the venue. As it was September I had to keep a very close watch on the sun as it was starting to set behind the mountains opposite us on the other side of the lake. I was watching like a hawk and towards the end of the speeches I rushed to grab Jay and Elise to make sure I got them the photos they wanted. We timed it to perfection with the sun starting to disappear just as we finished. We managed to get some precious photos down by the water, there was no input from me Jay and Elise were just doing their thing! The photos are some of my favourite from the day.

There was epic dancing, lots of dance offs and a very sweet first dance by Jay and Elise in front of all their friends and family. There was also a beautiful sparkler send-off to end their day, which was literally the best way to round off a perfect day!

The day was organised by the brilliant Annabel at Lake Garda Weddings, who was such an awesome presence on the day. Perfectly guiding the day without any fuss!
