St Audries Park Wedding Photography
Oh boy, oh boy do I have a treat for you guys today! This is the very very wonderful Beth and Toby and just a little snapshot into their just plain gorgeous day at the equally gorgeous St Audries Park in Somerset. I’m incredibly lucky to be able to say that every year I get to go to some incredible venues every year and St Audries fits that bill absolutely perfectly. So this was my first time as a St Audries Park Wedding Photographer, as it’s an absolutely unreal venue – like it’s got absolutely everything. Set in some seriously beautiful rolling hills, the house itself is stunning and best of all from my perspective, you can get married in the Orangery there which is beautiful!!
I’d spoken with Beth and Toby a good bit when planning their big day and knew from the offset that it was going to be something special. The ceremony was in the gorgeous Orangery Beth made the walk over from the main house via the flipping lush main staircase of the house- they had the most amazing flowers decorating every inch of the place! Beth and Toby’s wedding was still during the COVID transition period were mask-wearing during ceremonies was still at play. But you can still see just how much this day meant to everyone, it’s all in the eyes!!
The weather played a huge part in the day. It was super windy and there was some rain starting to spit at times as well, but the sun was also peaking through as well (literally a bit of everything!!). So it was super important to be flexible to make sure we got out when the weather broke. I was watching the skies like a hawk!
I don’t tend to visit venues before, generally, I find there is absolutely no need because every time I visit venues that I’ve shot at even a hundred times, things change. On the day the light changes, the scenery around the venues changes all the time and I think you need to be reactive to this as a photographer to make sure that you aren’t grabbing the same shots that you’ve taken before. Each couple are unique and each wedding is unique, so you need unique photos. I took a stroll around the venue and found the most gorgeous field with long flowing grass for our sunset shots in the vening. It was unreal and these are some of my favourite photos from the day. Check them out seriously as they are absolutely gorgeous. Sunset-y, warm, and with a touch of storm just thrown in. Unreal!
Beth and Toby were complete stars throughout the day. Some of the nicest people you could hope to meet and all of their family and friends are too! Super blessed to have been asked to photograph this wedding. Thanks so so much guys, your day was incredible!!
