Chycara Wedding Photographer

Ed and Jenny, I don’t even know what I can say about this wedding it was unbelievable from start to finish! (But I am gonna try and find some words!!). This wedding had some of the most beautiful moments I photographed all year, there were so many smiles, tears and some of the most hilarious photos I think I’ve ever taken (namely the photos of Ed and Jenny the end of the night had me creased up!!). What you will see most throughout this wedding is just how much fun Ed and Jenny are. They are constantly laughing, smiling and just having the best time in literally every single photo! So strap in, this wedding is a bit of a beauty!

We started the day in Penryn where Jenny and her team of bridesmaids were getting themselves ready at their family home. When I turned up everyone was in such high spirits and the huge exciting buzz surrounding the start of the day. I always know in the morning what the day is going to be like and even just being there for five minutes I could already tell this was going to be a great day!

We head over to Chycara the ceremony and reception. Ed’s family actually owns Chycara so I think it was the natural choice to have a wedding there! Chycara is fast becoming a bit of a dream venue, there’s not really anything else out there like it and it is so much fun to photograph! I just love being a Chycara Wedding Photographer. Nestled in the countryside about 10 minutes from Truro (and coincidentally only about 10 minutes from my house!!) It’s a really fab venue and they are always working on and changing things. The new ceremony area by the water is absolutely incredible!

Ed and Jenny ceremony in the grounds at Chycara was so sweet, it was filled with so much laughter and emotion, you could just see how much these two love each other. It was incredible to witness! The ceremony I love to photograph. They got covered in confetti before heading over to cocktail hour. Ed and Jenny wanted everything to be super relaxed and all about having fun, so my brief was to be super discreet just trying to capture all the moments going on.

Everyones speeches were incredible. I love listening to everyone speeches and hearing how everyone knows eachother and crucially all the funny sotires and rit that the bestmen have on the groom – always makes for great listening! One of the best men sadly couldn’t make it (he is an actor!), but filmed the most hilarious speech which they played out on the projector. It was so funny and had everyone in fits of laughter.

Ed and Jenny did a very elegant and beautiful first dance followed by the dancefloor getting absolutely packed and some outlandish dancemoves being thrown down. There was also an awesome sparkler tunnel – again so much fun and everyone getting properly stuck in!

After sparklers Ed and Jenny wanted to take a little walk by themselves and of course, I tagged along for a few photos as well. We got some incredible shots under the lights but there are some of the funniest photos I think I’ve ever taken. We favourite photos from the set was Ed picking up Jenny and swinging around by the waist. Completely unprompted (documentary if you will!) It was just so funny to witness. I was in absolute hysterics!

This was one of those dream days where you don’t feel like you are working at all. I had SO much fun all day. Ed and Jenny are just the nicest people, all of their friends were amazing and it was just a joy to photograph. Working as a Chycara Wedding Photographer just meant my job was even easier!
