Abbie and Mike married at Tredudwell near Polperro
Polperro Wedding Photographer
Abbie and Mike’s wedding at Tredudwell Manor, just outside Polperro, was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love this job. It had everything. A brilliant venue, the most incredibly lovely people, a proper relaxed feel, and one of the most ridiculous sunsets I’ve seen all year.!! Honestly the sky was exploding!
Tredudwell is one of my favourite places to photograph weddings. The most beautiful venue, amazing staff and everything just works. It has that proper coastal Cornwall feel without being busy or crowded, which is always a win for photos. It’s got the best of everything in my eyes!
The day started with Abbie getting ready at Tredudwell with her bridal party. Hair and makeup had been going since early and by the time I arrived there was already a really nice buzz About the day already – I love this bit of the day, all the nerves and excitement are what I love to be a part of! She looked amazing when she got into her dress and made the grand descent down the amazing staircase at Tredudwell (Iconic by now!!) There were some really lovely moments with her family as everything came together just before they head down to get married. Mike wasn’t bothered about lots of getting ready photos, I think nerves were playing a part but we grabbed a few nice frrames of him and his groomsmen getting the venue ready, chilling outside and we were able to grab some quick photos of ties and buttonholes before heading into the build up to the ceremony.
They were hoping for an outdoor ceremony, and the weather played ball!!. One of the best days of summer, it was honestly SO beautiful! The ceremony took place under the arbour and. It felt relaxed, happy, and very very cute! The ceremony itself was lovely and as soon as it finished everyone spilled out and up the stairs for the most epic confetti shots!!
We headed off towards the cliffs for some couple photos a little later on. This is one of the reasons I love this venue so much. Within a few minutes you’ve got open countryside which slopes down to the sea and these huge big skies,!. Abbie and Mike were brilliant to photograph and so so easy. They didn’t want anything stiff or overly posed, so they just walked, talked and let it all flow naturally. No need for any real direction!
Back at the barn, guests made their way in for speeches before the wedding breakfast. The speeches were great. Funny, warm, and full of stories!
The evening kicked off with cake cutting, first dance, and then straight into a busy dance floor and lots of epic dancemoves and then came golden hour!! We’d always planned to try and get sine shots if the weather allowed, but I had a bitof a spot in mind, just round the corner from Tredudwell and honestly, it was unreal. The sky went soft, warm, and glowy in every direction before exploding into the most epic sunset!. Abbie and Mike took it all in, walking together, stopping to look out over the land and towards the sea (I even dug out my drone for a few of these), and just enjoying having a few quiet minutes together. I loved this part. It’s a little spot I take couples to when the light is right, and this time it absolutely delivered.
It’s always nice when a plan comes together like that, and this one really did!
Over the years I’ve been so lucky to photograph so many beautiful weddings at Tredudwell, i’m so incredibly lucky that they lovely team their keep recommending me! This was a strong contender for being one of my favourite weddings at Tredudwell, and that’s saying something because I have photographed SO MANY incredible days there!

Your day was brilliant from start to finish, and it will stick with me for a very long time!!!
