I had the fabulous job of being the photographer for Liz and Andreas’ Nancarrow Farm Wedding. Love filled an full of laughter from the start. Andreas’ coming from a German background brought some amazing traditions to the day. He and the groomsmen were all dressed in Lederhosen and looking very sharp! They also took part in the Log Sawing Ceremony right after their wedding ceremony. So much fun to watch and cheer them on, if you’ve never seen one it’s such an amazing tradition (and looked like hard work, they did amazingly well!!).
Liz and Andreas were specific they really didn’t want any posed photos (my favourite!) so I took that brief and ran with it capturing everything as candidly as possible. The couple went for a little walk aroudn the stunning grounds whilst I grabbed a few photos of them.
Instead of a traditional first dance, the couple decided on having a Ceilidh. I’ve seen these at a few weddings before and they are the MOST FUN. Everyone gets stuck in and has a huge dance together. It’s so much fun to watch, wherever you look there is laughter!
I am always so humbled when people to ask me to photograph their wedding, It’s something I never take for granted and to photograph Liz and Andrea’s wedding for them was such an honour. I absolutely love to shoot at Nancarrow, it’s honestly the most beautiful wedding venue and only about 10 minutes from my front door so always a pleasure.
