“Dan was great from the very first meeting – he didn’t laugh at us or think we were mad when we said we were getting married in a shed and when we showed him it was still full of tractors he just smiled and took it all in his stride! He has an unimposing style and his ability to blend in with our guests resulted in some great natural shots- just as we asked! We can’t recommend him highly enough!”
Mel and Luke contacted me early last year, quite a late booking actually, very last minute, and I only just managed to fit them in as someone else was moving there wedding, a real stroke of luck really as I really wanted to shoot their day after a few emails back and forth, it sounded amazing. Boy did it not disappoint!
Mel and Luke got married in Trenderway barns which is absolutely stunning as Cornish Wedding venue’s go, and was a complete honour to shoot at. It’s set in the middle of nowhere and is just crazy romantic. Mel arrived in style, In true Cornish tradition, by tractor!
They then went on to have their reception in a barn Mel’s father owned. When meeting Mel and Luke for the first time and visiting the barn, it was a bit hard to realise that a wedding would be held here, as the barn was completely filled to the brim with stuff. You couldn’t cross from one side to the other, but they assured me and I could see their vision in what they wanted to do for their Cornish wedding photography. But, it happened, the barn was completely transformed, the results are absolutely gorgeous, I just wish I had a before shot to show you all. The weather was absolutely glorious, one of the most beautiful days and the views from the farm were just stunning, they really had the most gorgeous day imaginable.
We managed to get some sneaky shots of just the two of them on the tractor, shot some amazing dancing shots and they topped it off with rows of port to toast! massively fun day from start to finish, an absolute pleasure to shoot. As you can no doubt guess when looking through the gallery, I couldn’t just show a few of the photos, there is literally 200+ here, I just couldn’t stop shooting!
