Wanna talk weddings with me?
Fowey Harbour Hotel Wedding Photographer
This gallery is all about James and Lucy and a very lovely summers day they had together in Fowey at the lovely Fowey Harbour Hotel getting married ina gorgeous intimate wedding by the waters edge. This description sounds absolutely idyllic and if truth be told, that’s exactly what their big day was. Nice and chilled, beautiful views, beautiful people and some lovely intimate moments shared as they said their I do’s! This is really what it’s all about for me and the main reason why I do my job!
Lucy and James had some really cool ideas for their wedding day and they wanted it to be super simple, intimate and just epic. They smashed this brief completely! There was so many awesome moments to photograph, to give you a good example of this; when I arrived James and his best man were setting up the flower arch for the ceremony themselves. Love how DIY this is and how everyone got stuck in to make the wedding what it was!
Lucy and James have chosen one of the most incredible spots for a ceremony if you want to get married in Fowey – it’s probably the closest you can actually get married to the water. They completely lucked out with the weather as well, I don’t think anyone was expecting it to be as amazingly sunny as it was after the washout year it’s been (particularly on Saturdays as well!!!). But it was honestly one of the best days of the year for weather – I remember it being extremely hot, running around shooting so many beautiful people. One of the most amazing parts of the day and some of my favourite shots, was the confetti moment. They were completely covered and it made for some awesome photos!
We managed to grab Lucy and James 2 minutes alone (My idea! Something I always try to insist on!) so that we could go over to this gorgeous field I know which overlooks Fowey. It was gifted to the town and as such is protected – it’s probably the best view in the whole of the town and best part is – it’ll never get built on.
There was some awesome speeches, followed by a little chilled time on the balcony in the sun. Which was super needed and super chilled before they head down to the next venue in town. This was awesome as it allowed me to get lots of walking shots between venues of both Lucy and James and all their guests. Something that I always love to photograph as these in my opinion can be some of the nicest moment!
It’s always such a dream to be a Fowey Harbour Hotel Wedding Photographer and I’ve been lucky enough to do it several times over the years – it’s such a stunning venue, the ceremony location in the gardens is just sublime! Cannot wit for more sunny summer days back here!
